Artifacts and Objects, Including Orson’s Camera and Accessories
Space Requirements: Approximately 76 linear feet of wall space were needed to display 30 prints in two sizes. The main gallery measures approximately 18’ by 21’ with 8’-9” ceilings and 49 linear feet of wall space. It holds 14 large (31” x 42”) prints, two large text panels, and an artifacts display. The adjacent hallway gallery has approximately 27 linear feet of wall space, displaying 16 standard-sized (16” × 24”) prints stacked in two rows and two large text panels. Three other images were displayed elsewhere in the museum.
Framing & Mounting Details: All prints are archival quality, aluminum mounted under acrylic glass, featuring a 2” White Border and solid wood, dark brown frames. Permanent aluminum rails are attached to the rear for wire hanging. Removable cleats and wires were installed on the rails to accommodate the wall-hanging method the HJH Museum uses.
Environmental & Security Controls: The current gallery has temperature and humidity control via a central HVAC system with humidity maintained at 40% and +/- 5%. The space is medium security with cameras at strategic positions and staff present. The artifacts will be secured in a display case provided by us, or alternatively by the exhibit host.
Shipping & Crate Details: There are 2 standard pallet sized wood crates provided for safe transport of the prints and artifacts, approximately 300 lbs each. For Wyoming venues, we will hand deliver the assets. We will handle safe, insured transit to more distant locations as needed.
Rental / Hosting Fee: Contingent on the venue and term of exhibit. We are open to negotiating the fee in exchange for the venue providing text vinyls and promotional materials to their specifications and design parameters. Delivery will be at our expense, and we request museum coverage of insurance.
