JACKSON HOLE 1955
KODACHROME IMAGES BY ORSON L. ARVIN

“Working with Tim and Emma Arvin on the Jackson Hole 1955 exhibition at History Jackson Hole has been a rewarding partnership! When Tim and Emma first reached out with Orson Arvin's beautifully restored Kodachrome slide collection from 1955-56 in Jackson Hole, they were remarkably well-prepared, having already built a website to showcase the photographs and artifacts, which made it easy for our team to review and appreciate the full scope of the collection. The Arvin’s generosity and expertise in providing gallery-quality framed prints, combined with a truly collaborative spirit throughout the process, made every step a pleasure.

We collaborated on all elements from curation and exhibition quotes to framing decisions, interpretive text, and promotion. Throughout they brought a deep commitment to the project, which framed their family’s well-researched history within the context of the town’s history.  The exhibition opened to a wonderful reception from the community, and its recent extension is a testament to how powerfully these images resonate with visitors today. It has been incredibly rewarding to partner with and help share Orson and Bettye Arvin's story and give these remarkable photographs new life for today's Jackson Hole community.”
